When people hear “coworking”, they tend to picture a converted warehouse in Manchester or a glass-fronted box in a business park. We wanted something different.
A village that works
Tarporley has everything you need within a five-minute walk: excellent coffee shops, pubs for a working lunch, a post office, a pharmacy. It’s a proper village with a proper high street, not a retail park dressed up as community.
For the growing number of people who work remotely but live outside the big cities, that matters. A 40-minute commute to a coworking space in Chester or Crewe defeats much of the purpose. We wanted to put a workspace where people actually live.
The quiet advantage
There’s a quality to working in a quieter setting that’s hard to replicate in a city. Less noise, fewer interruptions, a gentler pace to the day. We’ve found that people who work in calmer environments tend to do deeper, more sustained work.
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes — including you.” — Anne Lamott
Cheshire’s hidden gem
Tarporley sits at the crossroads of rural Cheshire, well connected to Chester, Northwich, and Nantwich. The A49 puts you on the motorway network in minutes. It’s accessible without being frantic.
We think it’s the perfect spot for a different kind of coworking space — one that values focus over buzz.
